Diljit Dosanjh will next be seen in the Bollywood movie ‘Soorma’, a biopic on the life of former Indian national Hockey team player, Sandeep Singh. Taapsee Pannu will be the female lead and Angad Bedi will play the older brother of Sandeep Singh. Prakash Jha, the renowned director and producer will play the role of Diljit’s coach in the movie. Prakash’s character is very crucial in the movie and will display an emotional relationship between him and Diljit. The movie is being directed by Shaad Ali.
Chitrangda Singh and Sneha Rajani are co-producing the movie...
As we know this movie is based on the real life events of Sandeep Singh, who got seriously injured with an accidental gunshot in a train just two days before leaving for the Hockey world cup in 2006. He was almost paralyzed and was on wheel chair for two years but then made a miraculous comeback and went on to become the man of the tournament in 2009 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup.
Diljit made his debut in Bollywood with ‘Udta Punjab’. His role was critically acclaimed. He then appeared in the “Phillauri” with Anushka Sharma. He has completed the shoot for ‘Crazy Hum’ with Sonakshi Sinha, which is slated to be released in 2018
